What a wonderful holiday let this is! Immaculate accommodation and garden, in a beautiful area of France, with helpful owners on site. The property was very well presented, and immaculately clean. We weren't sure what a salt water pool was, but it was no different to a 'normal' pool, and our children spent time in it every day. We enjoyed using the outdoor covered eating area, which provided welcome shade from the sun. There were plenty of bakeries in the surrounding villages and small towns, and a good choice of local supermarkets. We didn't actually eat out very often as the cooking facilities were so good. Lots to see and do in the local area. The children say this is the best French holiday house they have ever stayed in, and we would definitely come back.

This was our first time staying in Maison du Massaloux and it was incredible. As soon as we walked through the gates we were amazed by how beautiful the garden and the house is. The pool is fabulous and there are so many toys to play with. We would love to come back. Thank you Patsy & Stew xxx

I really enjoyed staying here, the house was spacious and comfortable to stay in. I especially enjoyed spending time in the pool and the Artisan market that was recommended to us. The house had plenty of games and activities to complete when we just wanted a ‘stay at home’ day. Thank you for a wonderful holiday we all really enjoyed it.

Perfect spot for a family gathering. Beautiful walks, great kitchen to prepare gastronomic delights, games for all. Didn’t want for any appliance or comfort. Absolutely stunning. Well done Patsy & Stew – what a gem you have created. Outstanding hospitality. Will definitely pass on to our friends too!!

If we had had pouring rain throughout, we would have been comfortably contained within the gite. Every domestic and recreational requirement seemed to be managed, showing a real insight into visitors needs. This could not have been a better experience. Our relationship with Patsy and Stewart was much warmer than the expected business contract and ensuring our relaxation in someone else’s property. Merci!

We have had a lovely holiday here at Massaloux. The house is amazing, so spacious, comfortable and well equipped. It was perfect for the kids with so many boys and the great games room. The pool is just lovely. Thank you so much Patsy & Stew your hosting & attention to detail made this a very pleasant stay. (Including the baby sitting offer!).

We have had an absolutely fantastic time here. Patsy & Stewart are superb hosts, nothing is too much trouble. The house is fantastic with everything you need. We all enjoyed cooling off in the pool and the children really enjoyed the shade of the playroom. Thank you Patsy & Stewart for a really enjoyable time in France. Definitely see you again !!

We stayed at this beautiful Gite for 2 months whilst discovering this fantastic, rural area of France when house hunting. The Gite is a high quality example of a barn conversion and all fixture and fittings are very good quality and furnished in such a sympathetic taste to the region. It is a lovely place for relaxing as it has a fabulous open plan lounge/kitchen/diner with doors straight out onto the garden. A great pool that can be used in all weather and really comfy bedrooms, to recharge for the next day. Loved every minute, thanks Pat and Stewart. See you next year

I stayed at Maison du Massaloux in August 2017 with a friend and our families. We had two young children with us and the owners were fantastic, fitting out the property with stairgates, safety covers for the plug sockets and allowing the children to play with their own grandchildren's toys! The property was faultless, the kitchen equipped with everything that we needed and the outdoor space a real bonus - we struggled to get the kids out of the pool! There was plenty to do in the surrounding area for families, however, t was tempting just to stay in the beautiful garden and relax.

Maison du Massaloux is a splendid, and large converted barn property in the heart of the French countryside. For example, just walk a few hundred yards down the lane and you will see more birds, many of them rather exotic than you would ever see in the UK. We have stayed in many properties in France over the years, and I can safely say that Massaloux compares with the very best of them. It is centered on a very large (what a professional agent would describe as “extra spacious”) ground floor living area, with the upstairs bedrooms retaining and incorporating many of the old barn roof features. What is more, there is all the storage you could ask for. The décor and standard of finish is first class. So many rental properties have a couple of down sides somewhere, however, Maison du Massaloux does not. Everything is first class, with a kitchen equipped with every possible feature you might need. And that is before you see and use the secure outside sitting and BBQ area just before or just after a dip in the pool. Easy motorway access almost all the way from the Channel, and is only 15mins from the Dordogne. What more could you ask for?
